The French economy has started showing signs of stagnation. The third quarter of 2006 has not been too good for France and has slowed a lot than what was expected. The results did not meet the expectations of analysts and it is being considered the worst performance since the second quarter of 2005.
This is certainly a bolt from the blue for the country. The French economy is suffering due to a variety of reasons and its industrial sector is performing way beyond the growth in other countries. Even the exports from the country have suffered.
I feel sorry for the French Prime Minster whose party is heading for presidential election in 2007.
